Does anyone have a yummy shortbread recipe that uses cookie cutters?
I want to make shortbread animals using my cookie cutters but I can't find any good recipes that doesn't involve 500g of flour and 500g of butter. I just want to make a dough, roll it out and cut shapes out.
How many ounces or grams are there in a cup? Is the oven temperature in Celsius or Farenheit? My oven is in celsius.
Scottish Shortbread
455 g butter
220 g packed brown sugar
560 g all-purpose flour
Preheat oven to 165 degrees C.
Cream butter and brown sugar. Add 3 to 3 3/4 cups flour. Mix well.
Sprinkle board with the remaining flour. Knead for 5 minutes, adding enough flour to make a soft dough. Roll to 1/2 inch thickness. Cut into 3x1 inch strips. Prick with fork and place on ungreased baking sheets.
Bake at 165 degrees C for 20 to 25 minutes.
